More Than Machine

At the end of Megaman 7, the blue bomber actually attempts to murder Dr. Wily in cold blood, going against the very Laws of Robotics themselves. He is a machine. The very first Law states that a robot cannot harm a human. Wily tells him this, but Megaman claims that he is more than what he seems.

This is why I love robot stories~ Situations like these bring up so many questions. Was Megaman gaining free-will, or did Dr. Light actually program him to harm a human? Would that make Dr. Light the real villian then, since he created a machine that could harm people? Would this technically make Megaman Maverick if he gained his own will?

I'm new to the Megaman franchise, so these are all probably questions already answered hundreds of times lol Enjoy though!
